Prop Menu Overview

The pages below explain each of Landshape's Prop menu commands.

The Prop Menu collects sundry commands that may be quite useful in certain scenarios, but which do not naturally belong to the Main, Brush, View or Survey categories.

"Prop" is a term borrowed from the world of theatre. It refers to items that may play a supporting role in the story, and may at times be pivotal to the course of action, but typically do not play the main role.

By keeping these features and tools under the Prop menu, they are readily available, while not cluttering the standard menus and toolbars.

Prop can also be the launchpad for new or experimental commands, which are not yet mature enough to be included in Main, Brush, View or Survey.

Main includes commands that let you e.g.:

  • Clone properties from terrains and other objects
  • Direct-select terrain edges
  • Work with paths

All Prop commands are listed in Sketchup's top menu:
Extensions > Holygon Landshape > Prop

There is a top menu and a context menu called "Prop". These contain the same commands. There is no Prop toolbar.

If you have found your way to using a handful of Prop commands, you are probably progressing into an advanced Landshape user.
