What Does Landshape Do?
Landshape helps you accomplish three terrain workflow tasks:
1. Create
You can turn any Sketchup geometry – faces, surfaces, isocurves, pointclouds, add-location output, or any preexisting non-landsape terrain model you have – into new, fresh Landshape terrain. Or, you may create new Landshape terrain from scratch.
2. Edit
You may then hand-sculpt a quick, expressive concept using brushes. Or, you may make input geometry in the form of reusable control groups, containing edges and faces. Preselect your input, then run a Landshape Pick command, to accurately shape terrain elevation, topology and style. Better yet, mix both approaches for the best of two worlds.
3. Review
You can make Landshape show and markup terrain properties per spot, area or volume, via the Survey features. Landshape helps analyse and report elevation, slope, groundtype distribution, cut-and-fill, and more.
😕 Please note that initially, Survey features will be quite limited. Holygon plans to expand Survey.
Landshape is an Extension of Sketchup
Landshape is an extension of Sketchup. It adds terrain-related features on top of Sketchup's superior 3D experience. It does not subtract anything.
This means that you can continue to use the Sketchup features and workflows that you love, while also using Landshape.
You can continue using Layout, Tags, Styles, Scenes, Materials, Takeoffs, various Renderers, and your favorite third-party extensions, together with and on top of Landshape.
All Holygon's extensions are designed for maximum synergy with Sketchup.
