View Top

Toggle view between top parallel and tilted perspective.

Useful to quickly check siteplan and control positions. To see through faces, combine with X-Ray style.

Menu: Extensions > Landshape > View > View Top

Why View Top?

The point of View Top is that when you activate it, it automatically sets your camera to Top position, looking down, and to parallel view, both at the same time.

This view is the best way to understand how your siteplan fits together. Also, you can and check whether your control groups sit in the exact right plan position. Simply hit View Top.

Toggle On, Toggle Off

View Top is a toggle. When you are done working in plan view, hit View Top again, to return to a non-top, and perspective camera, again in a single click.

Set a Shortcut

View Top works best as a lightning-quick toggle. To achieve this, open Sketchup Preferences and set a shortcut.

Holygon recommends shortcut key F2.
