Supercharge Compfire with Placify
Can I use Compfire with other Extensions?
Yes. Compfire is a unified toolset, built to work well independently of other Sketchup extensions.
Compfire is an extension of Sketchup. It adds capabilities to Sketchup. It does not depend on other extensions to work.
This said, sometimes the whole is more than the sum of its parts. When installed and used together with Holygon's other extensions Placify and Landshape, Holygon's extensions combine into one supercharged toolchain.
Install Placify to Supercharge Compfire
Placify is especially useful to install with Compfire.
Placify affords much improved placing capabilities when you bring in items from Compfire. Placify gives you batch import and import-place-rotation.
Instead of bringing in components one by one, you can simply select any number of components in Compfire's Finder. Placify then automatically lets you import them into your model, all at once.
You can get a free Placify trial from Holygon Download.
Placify lets you Batch-Control Your Components
Placify also enables powerful control over component properties – including axes, rotation, scaling – and many commands for curating and batch-editing components. This is useful before exporting components to your Compfire Library.

Try Landshape for terrain modelling
Compfire and Placify are multi-purpose. They may be used in most Sketchup projects.
Their bigger sibling extension Holygon Landshape is geared towareds
terrain editor If you are an architect and need a place for your building, or interested in creative terrain work, Landshape is the perfect companion to Compfire and Placify.
For instance, Placify will sense that your are placing Compfire components on a Landshape terrain. Placify can then automatically adjust the placement to the terrain surface.
