Export To Library
Save all or selected in-model Items to the Library, to update or expand it. Export automatically updates the catalog.
When you are done with your staging model, Export it back to your library folder
Menu: Extensions > Compfire > Edit > Export To LibraryBringing It Back Home
You should typically export only from a Staging model. The staging model is a sandbox model where you prepare all components to be included in the library.
Here, you can align materials, subcomponents, and more, for maximum synergy. Or just check that everything looks good.
When done, use Export Library.
Exporting will refresh both edited library items and corresponding catalog rows.
Best Practice is to Export All
The recommended workflow is to export all items at once. This preserves the synergy between materials, subcomponents, tags, and other properties that several definitions can share.
If, after editing your staging model, you are positive that your staging edits has affected only a subset of items, you can Select
that subset, and then run Export Library. This will only export your selection.
