What is Learn?

Learn is Compfire's built-in user manual.

Learn instructs you on how to operate each individual command. Learn gives you an introductory overview to Compfire. Learn also explains general concepts and recommended workflows, and reveals pro tips.

Learn explains Compfire by way of text with some illustrations. Its content is aimed at self-paced learning and is suitable as a reference.

Use Learn to befriend tools, discover useful features, and to get the most out of Compfire.

Learn content is shown in a free-floating dialog window. On Learn's left-hand side is a navigation list of all Compfire commands. To access each command's Learn content, in the left-hand navigation, click the command name. The right-hand side will show the selected command's Learn content.

The Learn sidebar navigation lists Commands by their default menu order. In addition, the navigation starts with an Overview section, which gives you a general introduction to Compfire. Commands not grouped by menu blocks are contained in the command section 'Other'.

Holygon Command — This text style refers to a specific Holygon command or feature. Sometimes, it may be a part of a Holygon command, such as a mode or setting inside a command.

Link — This text style means that the text is a link. To follow the link, click the text. Try it now!

Linked Holygon Command — This text style combines a reference to a Holygon Command with a link. The link should typically open the command's Learn page. To follow the link, click it. Try it now!

Linkrot — This text style indicates a link with a missing target. Should this happen, let Holygon know.

Pro Tip — Run Commands via Learn

To Run a Holygon command directly from Learn, in the Learn window simply hover a command icon, and Click it.

Note that running commands via Learn will only work if you are using Learn from within Sketchup. If you are using the web-based version of Learn, you cannot start Sketchup commands.

Using Sketchup, and want to try it now? Scroll up to the top of this section, hover the Learn icon, and click it. Since Learn works as a toggle, clicking will close this window.

Learn by Instructor

If you open Sketchup's built-in tray panel Instructor, and keep the Instructor open as you work, your currently active Compfire tool's Learn content will automatically show in the Instructir.
