Main Menu Overview

The Main menu collects some of Placify's core tools and commands.

Main includes commands that let you:

  • Place component and group instances, like Place.
  • Change container Size, without affecting position, like Size.
  • Create variation in Size, Turn, Tilt and more, like Shift.
  • Autodrop component instances matching a certain tag, like Drop.
  • Change Placify preferences, like Panel.

...and more.

Access Main Commands

You can access Main commands in four ways.

  1. Access via Placify's Main toolbar.
    If you don't see the toolbar, right-click any other visible toolbar and check
    Holygon Placify Main
    ...or use Sketchup's
    View > Toolbars > Holygon Placify Main

  2. Access via Sketchup's right-click menu:
    Placify > View

  3. Access via Sketchup's top menu:
    Extensions > Holygon Placify > Main

  4. Custom Shortcuts. If you find yourself often using a Main command often – assign a custom shortcut to it. To do this, go to:
    Window > Preferences > Shortcuts

...search for the command, and assign a shortcut key.

The top menu, context menu, and the toolbar called "Main" all contain the same commands.

Befriend a few Main commands, and you're pretty well positioned to start Placifying like a master.
