View Container Axes

Toggle group and component origin visibility.

Visualize containers' Axes position and orientation. Since many Placify commands depend on Axes, this command is useful for troubleshooting.

Menu:  Extensions > Placify > View > View Container Axes

Visualize Axes to Troubleshoot Placify Tools

Several other Placify tools are dependent on the position and orientation of container Axes.

In standard use, you typically do not wish to see other axes than those in the current modeling context. Placify's command View Container Axes lets you visualise the Axes of all containers in your context.

Repositioning Axes

The ideal position of Axes depends on your asset at hand. If you are working with items that should stick to the ground, it is often natural to set the Axis where the geometry should connect vertically to ground.

If you get unexpected results, try re-positioning the axes of your containers to e.g. their Center Bottom.

To set Axes in batch, first select your definition instances. Then use the Placify command:
Placify > Axes > Set Axes to Bottom Center
