Using Nudge

The Nudge tool may not move mountains. But nudging can be useful to quicky move things aout of the way. Bind Nudge to a shortcut to access it anytime.

Nudge is also useful when you are working with items placed on a strict grid.

Try nudging chess pieces on a chess board!

Study the Status Bar and VCB

When Nudge is active, carefull read the status bar. Here, you can learn about available options. The status bar is your firstline support.

Also take a good look at the VCB, Sketchup's value control box. To control parameters, type numbers and delimitors when the VCB is active.
