Spawn Brush

Sprinkle preselected containers onto target by stroking.

Useful to create a grove or forest in seconds. Works similar to the Spawn command, but the brush lets you create an implicit target simply by painging strokes in you model.

Menu:  Extensions > Placify > Brush > Spawn Brush

Sprinkle the Fun

Input

Spawn Brush currently expects preselected source containers. The containers that are selected when you start Spawn Brush will be the ones that the Brush spawns. To spawn something else, exit the tool, select other containers, then spawn again.

The distribution of instances in the source selection will influence the spawned result.

Currently, Spawn Brush does not have a pick phase. Currently, you need to preselect containers before activating the brush.

Parameters

Set the Density, the Falloff, and the Brush radius.

Trimming

When you have an active stroke, it will be outlined in orange. You can trim this stroke. To trim, press Shift key, and stroke the outline.

Output

Key F6 toggles Shift on and off. Shift will apply random transformations to your spawned output. This is useful to give your result organic variation. The Shift parameters are applied according to your current panel settings.
