Fill

Paint terrain zone by material.

Useful to change materials in your terrain. Will flood-fill the entire clicked Zone with the current material.

Type: Draw
Menu: Extensions > Landshape > Main > Fill

Operation

Painting Materials

Click a terrain surface to fill it with the current material. Hold Shift to fill all zones in terrain.

Sampling Materials

To sample materials, press Alt and click on target to Sample material.
Alternatively, simply click a material in Sketchup's Material Dialog.

How do I Create Various Zones to Fill?

Use Zone or Zone Brush. See e.g. Zone

If you do not have different Zones in your terrain, all of your terrain is one Zone. In this case, Fill simply fills your entire plot with its active material.

Read Statusbar for Details

When Fill is active, Sketchup's statusbar will show the current state and options. Read the statusbar carefully.
