Ease

Set grading softness to selected edges and points.

Utility command, useful to set Grading weight to selected raw edges. Use in conjunction with Grade to soften transitions in the terrain.

Type:  Pick, Other
Menu:  Extensions > Landshape > Main > Ease

Input

  • One or several raw edges.

Ease before Grading

Ease effects only Grade. Ease is an experimental command, currently with no support in other Landshape commands.

If you ease an edge or edge path, and Grade using it as your Grade input, you will see that it lets Grade soften its effect. Ease can be set per single edge, or several.

Smooth Transitions

Ease can be useful to smooth out local transitions in the terrain. It lets you express more using fewer edges.
